The most important use of β-pinene is the thermal cleavage into micrene, and then from micrene as the starting material, dozens of fragrances with high value can be synthesized, such as Linalool, Geraniol, Neraniol, Lilal and Isocyclemone-E. Refined β-pinene can be used in the formulation of daily fragrances and other industrial products for flavoring, the amount of which is within 2%. There are no restrictions imposed by IFRA. |
