TERPINENE is one of the isomers of turpentine. TERPINENE is recognized by FEMA as GRAS with a FEMA number of 3046 and is approved for consumption by the FDA, and is provisionally permitted as a food additive by the European Council as a healthy and harmless fragrance.

TERPINENE can be used in low-grade soap fragrance formulations, as well as in preservative and industrial solvent applications.
